Under new management since 2023, the restaurant has been lovingly refreshed — its interiors tastefully renovated while preserving the timeless character of its 19th-century roots.

The charm of the past lives on: the original sign still graces the façade, and behind the bar hangs the historic license from 1889, issued to Christina van Leeuwen, widow Koevoet — the woman whose name continues to inspire the restaurant today.
